I was born and grew up in Indonesia. From 1987 to 1997, I lived, studied, and worked in Canada. During this 10-years away from Indonesia, I learned more about Indonesia. Things (information) that I took for granted when I was in Indonesia were difficult to find in Canada. Ten years is not a short period of time. Obviously, I changed or learned different point of view (western lifestyle?). September 1997, I came back to Indonesia. Re-entry was not easy. Culture shock, if you will. Thus, the creation of this page or web site. It's a creation of information that I thought would be important (or at least interesting) for travellers planning to go to (or work in) Indonesia, Indonesian students returning to Indonesia, and people who are interested in Indonesian lifestyle.
